Texas Chinese Physician Association (TCPA) was founded in 2003 in Dallas, Texas. It is a non-for-profit organization that consists of Chinese physicians, dentists in DFW metroplex and north Texas area.
Up to today, it has grown into an organization of more than 80 registered members, all are practicing physicians and dentists. Our members come from multiple specialties taking care of children, adults, and the elderly; from primary care to all subspecialties of Medicine and Dentistry. Our members’ practice scopes range from private practices (both solo and group), to hospital affiliation, and researchers from academic centers in the greater DFW metroplex.
Since its establishment, TCPA serves as a platform for its members to provide communication, information exchange, professional networking and collaboration. We also serve local community in the DFW Metroplex. Many of our members were invited to give lectures on health related topics on numerous community events to promote healthy lifestyle and disease prevention; We organize periodic education programs for our members to bring updated information on both our profession and business opportunities; These activities also provide opportunities for our members to socialize with and support each other.
TCPA has been hosting the community health fair annually since 2004. It is the largest Asian community health event. More than thirty physicians/dentists participated and provided free consultation services, health screening and flu shots to our local community residents who are otherwise unable or cannot afford to see a physician. Many of our members are active leader in promoting healthcare quality and medical research at different institutions, locally in DFW, nationwide and internationally.
