(Los Angeles) The Chinese Culture Development Center (CCDC), founded in 1995, is an influential cultural institution based in the Western U.S. with its business ranging from live performances, lectures, to competitions, and community programs. In 2021, SILU INC took over the center’s operations and charted new business in intercultural communication, cultural program planning, entertainment management, social media marketing, and publication. CCDC is committed to producing and planning programs that serve cultural diversities in different communities, presenting project lineup, such as “Dancing LA,” “Chinese Cultural and Creative Competition,”, “East Meet West” concerts, etc. In 2024, CCDC launched its most recent cultural & culinary brand, Taste China, which focuses on Chinese food and culture experience in the U.S and serves high-end costumers in the country and beyond. In the Exhibition business, CCDC has accumulated extensive resources and experience through cooperation with domestical and international professional photographer. It created notable projects such as the Los Angeles Chinese Photographic Festival, U.S.-China News Photo Exhibition, and AAPI: Living Heritages. Other highlight exhibitions include the Nihao China, Welcome to Guangdong, and Taste China: A Journey with World-Class Photographers, which received applause by the community and media friends. CCDC operates different social media accounts across platforms such as WeChat, Weibo, RedNote, Instagram, Facebook, podcasts, and newsletters. Our contents are tailored to each platform’s user base, creating an integrated media ecosystem that emphasizes professionalism, accuracy, authority, and global communication of Chinese language contents. Our publications, Los Angeles Photographic Festival Photo Album, Through the Lens: An Asian American Experience in 2021, and Taste China: A Journey with World-Class Photographers 2024, are collected by local colleges and libraries. Streamlining cultural, educational, and commercial resources, CCDC launched its monthly culture & lifestyle magazine, Meihua, in 2023, aiming to become the leading Chinese-language publication in the Western U.S. and beyond with its rich contents, high-quality design, and state-of-art publication technology. Focusing on innovative creation and professional planning, CCDC is committed to constructing a diverse and inclusive platform to serve and support cultural exchange and community building. We believe the multi-dimensional communication between Chinese cultures and other heritages would tremendously benefit the cultural diversity and overall market forces in the country.
